Chocolate Drop Cookies 1/2 cup shortening 1 cup brown sugar 1 egg 1 3/4 cup sifted flour 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. soda 1/2 cup milk 2 squares chocolate, melted 1/2 cup chopped nuts Cream together shortening and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Sift together flour, salt and soda. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Stir in melted chocolate and nuts. Drop on greased cookie sheet by teaspoonfuls. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes. |
