Ginger Snaps 3/4 cup shortening 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup light molasses 1 egg 2 cups sifted flour 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. cloves 1 tsp. ginger Cream shortening, sugar, molasses and egg. Beat well. Sift together dry ingredients and add. Mix well. Chill dough and then roll in small balls. Dip in granulated sugar and place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees about 10 to 12 minutes. |
