Romance Cookies 1 cup flour 1/2 cup butter or margarine 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar 2 eggs, well beaten 1 1/2 cup dark brown sugar, packed 1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped 3 Tbsp. flour 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. baking powder Combine 1 cup flour, butter and granulated sugar. Mix with pastry blender until it is the texture of cornmeal. Pat evenly into an 8 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Set aside. Combine eggs, brown sugar, walnuts, flour, vanilla and baking powder. Pour over baked crust. Return to oven and bake 25 minutes. Let cool. Cut into squares. |
