Shortbread

1 lb. butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup cornstarch
3 cups flour

Cream butter and sugar together well. Gradually work in flour and cornstarch. Mix. When all flour is in, gently knead and shape into 2 logs. Refrigerate several hours. Slice and bake.

Skillet Cookies

2 cups sugar
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1 stick margarine
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups quick oats
1 tsp. vanilla

Boil sugar, cocoa, milk and margarine for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add peanut butter, oats and vanilla. Stir until peanut butter and oats are blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
