Snickerdoodles 1 cup soft shortening 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 eggs 2 1/2 cups flour 2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. soda 1/2 tsp. salt Mix together the shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift the dry ingredients together and stir in. Roll into walnut sized balls. Roll in a mixture of 2 Tbsp. sugar and 2 Tbsp. cinnamon. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned but still soft. Makes about 6 dozen. Snickerdoodles II |
