Whiteys 1/3 cup shortening 3/4 cup sugar 2 egs 1/2 tsp. vanilla 3/4 cup flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/3 cup raisins (optional) Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8 x 8 inch baking pan. Melt shortening in a 1 quart saucepan. Remove from heat. Mix in sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and raisins. Spread batter in pan and bake for 30 minutes. Cool slightly and cut into squares. |
