Black Bing Cherry Salad
1 (No. 303) can Bing cherries
2 (6 oz.) bottles Coca Cola
1 cup crushed pineapple
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts
2 pkgs. cherry Jell-O
2 cups fruit juice
Drain juice from cherries and pineapple, and add enough water to make 2 cups. Bring
juice to boil and pour over Jell-O. Stir until dissolved. Cool. Add Coca Cola, stir and
chill. Add fruit and nuts.
(Note: this recipe is presented as written.
The cook probably intends for the fruit and nuts to be added when the Jell-O is partially
set. The Jell-O package size is probably the small size.)
Black Cherry Salad
1 regular pkg. black cherry Jell-O
1 jar Lady Anne cherries
1 can crushed pineapple
In large bowl place Jell-O. Add 1 cup hot water and stir until dissolved. Add juice
drained from fruit to make 1 cup cold liquid; stir thoroughly. Place Jell-O in refrigerator
until about the thickness of egg white. Add drained fruit and stir well. Replace in
refrigerator and allow to set until firm. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
