Fruit Salad
3 cups cottage cheese (large curd)
1 quart whipped cream topping (Cool Whip, etc.)
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. orange pineapple Jell-O (dry)
2 (12 1/4 oz.) cans pineapple tidbits
2 (11 oz.) cans mandarin oranges
Mix cottage cheese and whipped topping in a blender. Stir in dry Jell-O. Fold in drained
oranges and pineapple. Serves 12. May substitute flavors of Jell-O.
Green Gage Plum Salad
1 (No. 2 1/2 can) green gage plums, or 2 small cans, peeled and pitted
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 pkg. lime Jell-O
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 can pecans
Drain plums and mix with cream cheese. Using juice of plums and lemon juice, add
enough water to make a little under 2 cups liquid. Heat and pour over lime Jell-O. Stir
until dissolved. Mix enough cold water to gelatin to dissolve. Add this to hot mixture.
Mix Jell-O with plums and cream cheese. Add nuts and chill. Serves 8 to 10.
