Orange Jell-O Cake
1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange Jell-O
1 cup boiling water
1 pkg. white cake mix
3/4 cup cooking oil
4 eggs
Vanilla as desired
1/4 cup orange juice
1 3/4 cup powdered sugar
Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water and let cool. Mix white cake mix and oil, beat well.
Beat in eggs one at a time and add vanilla. Add cooled Jell-O and beat well. Batter will
be thin. Pour into greased 9x13-inch pan. Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
Mix orange juice and powdered sugar well. Punch holes all over cake with meat fork
while cake is still hot. Pour icing on.
Orange Jell-O Cake II
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 pkg. orange Jell-O
3/4 cup cooking oil
3/4 cup water
4 eggs
Glaze Topping:
1 cup powdered sugar
4 or 5 Tbsp. orange juice
Grated rind of 1 orange
Combine ingredients for cake and beat 3 minutes or until well blended. Bake in 9x13-inch pan at 350 degrees for 40 or 45 minutes. As soon as cake is baked, prick top of cake
lightly with fork and cover with glaze. Serves 15.
