April 17, 2010 - Weavers
Art Market, Whatcom Museum Old City Hall Building,
Bellingham, Washington 12 noon to 3 p.m. Admission is free
for Whatcom Museum members and $3 for non-members.
Demonstrations by Native American Indian artists. Includes
baskets and other woven items.
April 24-25, 2010 - Dirty
Dan Days Seafood Festival, Historic Fairhaven District,
Bellingham, Washington. Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.,
Sunday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Most activities on the
Fairhaven Village Green. Includes live music, seafood
booths, and contests, including Sunday rowing and piano races.
April 25, 2010 - Deming Homestead Tour, Garmo
homestead near Deming, Washington, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Limited to 15 people. Free to Whatcom Land Trust members,
others $5 to $10 non-member donation. To register, call

May 1, 2010 - Procession
of the Species parade, downtown Bellingham,
Washington. Line-up begins at 3 p.m. on Lottie Street in
front of City Hall. The parade begins at 4 p.m. A
celebration follows at Maritime Heritage Park, with music by
Original Duke of Hominy Brass Band.
May 8, 2010 - Big Rock Garden Party, Big Rock
Garden Park, 2900 Sylvan Street, Bellingham, Washington, 1 to 4
p.m. Free, opening for the park sculpture
exhibition. Parking at the park is limited. Park at
Silver Beach School and walk the trail, or at Bloedel Donovan
Park and take the shuttle. The first shuttle leaves the
Bloedel Donovan parking lot at 12:45 p.m.
May 15, 2010 - Alzheimer
Society Walk and 5K Run, Fairhaven Village Green,
Bellingham, Washington, beginning at 9 a.m. Registration
is $25, canine registration is $10. To register call
